PERSONAL DETAILS

DESCRIPTION:
Cain stands around 6" solid with a muscular frame from years of survivalism, camping, and other boyish activities. Whilst his brother, Victor, was inside studying Pokemon technique from the moment he could read, Cain was exactly the opposite. Clambering atop trees from a young age and sitting in the branches has given Cain a good, toned body and a conditioned soul to go with it.

Cain's got short, cropped white hair and tends to wear track jumpers and pants, as well as a loose-fitting tee shirt and sneakers. Usually, a satchel, too; and of course, a belt for his Pokeballs. His skin tone is lightly tanned from spending years outside, but, aside from that, he looks like a usual child, clocking in at around 190lbs.

Cain speaks loudly and with force, and the boxing tape on his gloves shows that whilst he does do battle with Pokemon, he's no stranger to the ring either. A lot of the time he'll be heard growling, yowling, shouting, or laughing - and people tend to wonder just where all this boy's vigour comes from.

PERSONALITY:
Almost sore at Victor's place in the world, Cain is a loud, proud, and haughty boy of twenty. He's rash, hot-headed, and most definitely headstrong. Strategy isn't at the forefront of his mind, and his Pokemon tend to specialise in brute power, sheer speed, or tank-like defenses, but usually the first two. But for as narrow-minded as he appears to be, Cain is very much a passionate young boy who is loyal to his team above all else, and loyal to his family, and his friends.

This may be so, but, still, Cain loves himself a good challenge. Victor was pronounced Atoria's Champion a year or two ago; and Cain, having been lounging around the house for too long, after watching the battle at home, decided that despite his parents' chastising, he'd head down to Peridot Village, pick a few Pokemon from the humble Professor Redwood, and take up his own fate and try to seize the title himself. Cain aims high, and lets nothing get him down.

Whilst he doesn't have the most tactical of minds and is very much a stark contrast to other trainers with more strategy, such as Jesen and Victor, his tenacity and willpower is almost unmatched, and he sees everything as a challenge. The world itself is one large trial set out for him; and he knows he's destined to complete it.

Outside of the battlefield, Cain can be found constantly training himself and his Pokemon, though in the spare time he does take for he and his team to relax, he's a worthwhile friend and a good playmate, but this hardly ever comes around. His survivalist mindset and knack for working and functioning as an independent unit mean some may call him shut-off, or over-confident; but rest assured, that in the end, Cain will know the value of teamwork, and will do his very best to dethrone Victor and make himself the second Adonis brother to take the mantle of Atoria Champion.

HISTORY:
Born 20 years ago to a middle-class family in Citrine Town, Cain Adonis has always grown up in someone's shadow. For the most of his life, it's been Victor, his older brother, widely regarded as the youthful, 22-year-old, Pokemon prodigy of the world, and the current, reigning, undefeated Atoria Champion, who dethroned the legendary O'Connor and has kept his title solid for beyond a year.

Cain wasn't a complex child. He enjoyed simple things. Climbing trees, frolicking at the Aquamarine Beach, playing with his parents' Pokemon... and, really, just anything. As was custom, at the age of 10, he himself was rewarded with his own Pokemon: a Totodile named Total, whom has been with Cain now for another ten years. Cain seemed happy to live his life alone, but was always bitter of his brother's success, and his ability to freely travel as he returned home each time with a shiny new badge in his case or upon his lapel, and another eager Pokemon follower at his side.

Cain had always been forbidden from really travelling as a child. Whilst Victor had proved himself knowledgeable and independent, Cain... Cain was always something wild. A boxer by nature, he at least had something to channel his limitless passion, energy, and sometimes even frustration and anger into, but as Victor began to succeed further and he was just limited more and more through his teen years, Cain became increasingly bitter, and his personality began to suffer. By the time he was sixteen, he couldn't concentrate on school work at all, and simply dwelt on the matter of Pokemon - and how he wished to get out there and seize adventure for himself.

Life wasn't too fair to Cain, in reality. He didn't do anyone wrong and was still just restricted for the sake of the prodigal sun in whose limelight he was left to sulk. The real kicker came around a year and a half ago, however; whilst watching - and, of course, eager - the Champion battle of Victor Adonis against Mickey O'Connor on live television at home, from the moment the first hit went out, Cain knew. He knew that he had to turn around and seize opportunity for himself. He was twenty now; and he had nothing to his name. And for all those years he'd been living in Victor's shadow... he wanted something to show for it.

With that, Cain spun around and smiled upon his parents, and told them of his journeys to Peridot Village, where he became united with another Pokemon, Jared, a Larvitar. He returned to Citrine Town, and with what little money he had, bought some basic supplies and a backpack. He began learning, and preparing, for a whole year. No train pass was necessary. He was making his way around the gyms by foot. The adventure of Cain Adonis had begun.

Whilst he and Total - and Cain, too - have discrepancies because of attitude outside of battle due to Jared's intolerance for any misbehaviour (usually resulting in a bite with those hard-ass jaws of his) inside battle, he and Total are a LETHAL pair.

1) You might want to put this in the Trainer Card Template so others can do this, but you might want to put a brief summary of the personalities of your pokemon, too. Not impacting gameplay, otherwise working out stats would take forever, but I'd suggest a sentence or two giving a bit about general behaviour. If you do this just to give your pokemon a bit of life to them as well.

2) Non-essential, but do you have in mind which gym leader you're going for first? You don't have to put it and you're free to change it if things go pear shaped in your first fight, but it's just good to know.

Also, quick point, unless you've let people have one TM for free or something, Totodile shouldn't know Aqua Jet and Lavitar shouldn't know Dragon Dance.

Eartha might be a bit of a challenge, considering her own pokemon and your Lavitar's sandstorm, but that's half the fun. Otherwise...
