Plot; World Affairs

Things are pretty simple in the Atoria region.

Everyone's happy. Things run smoothly. The Champion, Elite Four, and Gym Leaders are all well-loved people. The Champion makes regular television appearances, and healthy challengers are awry. There isn't much discontent, and for now, everything is flowing smoothly in Atoria. From seats of power across the country, Gym Leaders go about their business and rule their towns and cities fairly, and try and make things run as smoothly as possible.

It's been over a decade since the abolition of Team Rocket, and slightly less since the dissolution of the other four teams, Magma, Aqua, Galactic, and Plasma. Legendary Pokemon haven't been sighted in the Atoria region for at least two decades, but scriptures do tell of some like Rayquaza who forged the fabled azure skies above Atoria, or Groudon, who fashioned the land as a home for himself.

Things are quaint. Calm. Quiet. There isn't much event. And it's just how the world seems to like it.
